New head of EG Construction in the Nordics

Magne Solberg is the new Senior Vice President of EG Construction, one of EG's largest and most rapidly expanding business divisions in the Nordic region.

"EG Construction is on a strong upward path, despite a very challenging market. I am taking over a strong foundation with great potential for further consolidation in the Nordics," says Magne Solberg, the new head of EG Construction.
In a market with limited new construction across the Nordics, the demands for efficient operations and deliveries are increasing, alongside significant changes in requirements related to emissions and the environment.

Increasing environmental demands on the construction industry

With a team of over 300 employees, Magne Solberg is poised to lead EG Construction into the future:
"We aim to contribute to making the construction industry more digital. Effective digital solutions can help businesses meet the increasing environmental requirements in all Nordic countries. We are already seeing stricter climate requirements for the construction industry, for example, in Denmark and Norway."

Focus on digitalization and sustainable construction

"Our focus is on digitalization, more sustainable construction projects, and our customers' profitability. We deliver user-friendly software that supports our customers in delivering high-quality work on time. The more digital they become, the better businesses can optimize their operations and meet the new demands for reducing the carbon footprint of construction, which today accounts for up to 40 percent of CO2 emissions in the Nordics," says Magne Solberg.

Growth through acquisitions

Magne Solberg takes over from Aleksander Bjaaland, who successfully led the Norwegian software
company Holte AS for more than 10 years before it was acquired by EG in 2020.

EG Construction has grown from a smaller business area into one of EG's largest SaaS companies with a turnover of around 750 million NOK. This growth has been achieved through both impressive organic growth and a series of acquisitions, particularly in Norway, Denmark, and Finland, including software companies Holte, Sigma, Jydacom, Silverbucket, Ajour, and Zeroni. All acquisitions represent specialized industry software, ensuring that EG can deliver solutions for the entire construction industry at all stages of the building process.

"EG Construction has a strong product portfolio, skilled and motivated employees, and satisfied customers - all of which provide an excellent foundation for further development. I am very much looking forward to continuing this work," says Magne Solberg.
