"As a developer, you are usually the customer's hero." Tim Hove Faurskov, software engineer Senior developer, Dynamics AX, Denmark

I have been with EG for six years. In my job, I am assigned to various projects and products, and I therefore work with many different people. My daily tasks may involve interacting with colleagues and customers, but I also perform analyses and do coding on my own. I work with colleagues and customers both virtually and at locations all over Denmark.

As a developer, you are usually the customer's hero. I am the one who actually solves the problem or provides the solution that makes the customer's work easier. I don't always succeed in becoming the hero, but I often do, and it's a great feeling every single time.

EG uses many different IT solutions, which provides ample opportunity to seek new challenges. During the past year, I have done courses and certifications in order to try out new technology. I now use these skills in a new team where I have met new and interesting colleagues and, not least, been given new and challenging tasks. I try to keep my "old" skills honed and to share my knowledge by being part of our capability lead groups.

"In my role as a consultant, I meet our customers face to face and see the context in which the solution is used." Trine Kristensen, MSc International Business Studies Consultant, Dynamics AX, Denmark

I have been with EG for two years, and in my current position I work with product development and implementation. This gives me the opportunity to use my business know-how and my knowledge of the standard product in design solutions, while at the same time meeting our customers face to face and seeing the context in which the product is used. My professional life is exactly as challenging as it should be, and I enjoy the project-based approach as it allows me to meet many different people, both EG employees and customers alike.

For implementation projects, I typically have my own area of responsibility in which I conduct workshops with the customer's employees to train them in using the system and to analyse the need for customisations to the system. In this way, I help to facilitate the customer's implementation of a new system and to ensure that the system will be able to handle the customer's work processes efficiently in the future.
